Blogaversary Month!

Hey Everyone!

So it has been a while since I’ve posted on the blog. I’m not sure if I have fully explained my situation but i’ll aim to do a post on that very soon! So, as you all probably or hopefully know, this month is Ely and I’s blogaversary!

I am pretty sure that both Ely and I had no idea that this blog would turn into what it has. We started the blog with absolutely no idea about the whole world. In that way, I am glad. Sometimes you just have to throw yourself into something before you realise what it all means.  And then, you have to just trudge on. You kind of have to block everyone out and just make the content. We barely had any views in the beginning and although some people might think we don’t have many now, we both believe that every single little view and comment is basically the whole entire world. We did that and It turned into something wonderful! With the help of you all and the existence of books I don’t know where we would be. But most of all, I would like to thank Ely. Like, for everything.

To have not only an amazing blog partner but a  best friend like Ely is everything.

I don’t know how I could’ve done anything without her. I don’t even have words to describe who she is and what she has done to change me and even all of you. She is just the epitome of amazing. She is someone you can always rely on and will instantly make you feel ten times better. She’s the one you can invest all your secrets in and whine and cry and ball your eyes out about everything between books and all those personal irritable problems. She can also be the person who makes you cry, for example, with the amazing blogaversary post she posted earlier this month. My gosh, I was just gone two seconds into reading that.

Then I have her on here. I’ve been extremely busy with Year 12 and she has been so considerate to help me through out it. She hasn’t blown her fuse once with my extreme business making me unable to post a lot. Truthfully, I don’t think this blog would be running as well as it is if she wasn’t my co blogger! She keeps this alive guys! I feel awfully guilty about that, but once this year is done, I will be back on the roll! *fingers crossed* . So, give her heaps of hugs and kisses!!

So Ely, I love you so so so ridiculously much! I really can’t imagine a world without you present. What’s a world without you, honestly? You mean everything to me and gosh, this is also getting really sappy! I am so thankful to have you as a best friend and I don’t think i could ever repay you for being my best friend. You. Are. Just. Amazing.

Last of all, I just wanted to thank you all again and again for taking time out of your day just to view our blog or pop down a comment below. Nothing ever goes unnoticed and you put the hugest smile on both of our faces.

Love you all
xoxo

COVER REVEAL: IGNITE ME by Tahereh Mafi

BLURB: The heart-stopping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, bestselling author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, called "a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love"

Juliette now knows she may be the only one who can stop the Reestablishment. But to take them down, she'll need the help of the one person she never thought she could trust: Warner. And as they work together, Juliette will discover that everything she thought she knew-about Warner, her abilities, and even Adam-was wrong.

In Shatter Me, Tahereh Mafi created a captivating and original story that combined the best of dystopian and paranormal and was praised by Publishers Weekly as "a gripping read from an author who's not afraid to take risks." The sequel, Unravel Me, blew readers away with heart-racing twists and turns, and New York Times bestselling author Kami Garcia said it was "dangerous, sexy, romantic, and intense." Now this final book brings the series to a shocking and climactic end.

Praise for the Shatter Me series:

"Dangerous, sexy, romantic, and intense. I dare you to stop reading."-Kami Garcia, #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of the Beautiful Creatures series

"Tahereh Mafi's bold, inventive prose crackles with raw emotion. A thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love, the Shatter Me series is a must-read for fans of dystopian young adult literature-or any literature!"-Ransom Riggs, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

"Addictive, intense, and oozing with romance. I'm envious. I couldn't put it down."-Lauren Kate, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Fallen series

FINDING TIME TO READ #READINGPROBLEMS101

One thing that really bugs me is when people announce that they don’t read books because they don’t have time. That’s not a good enough reason. Seriously, it’s not. If you really wanted to read books you would make time for them. I bet you readers have heard that one before and want to stab me with a gun because shooting wouldn’t satisfy you.

Tip 1:
First, figure out if you’re a, “30 minute before bedtime,” “set aside a day,” or “on the go,” type of reader. Unfortunately, I’m the “set aside a whole day,” reader and if you are one, then it could be really hard for you to settle down with a book because of a busy schedule. The number one tip I have for you is the Friday Night Spree. Grab a book after school on Friday when nothing is due the next day, and read. Read through the night and to the early hours of the morning if that is the only time you have to read. Sleeping is important, I totally understand, but if you’re free the next day then Saturday sleep ins can still happen. No stopping you their buddy. Or develop the awesome habit of becoming Ely. I swear she breathes in words from the books she is reading without them being present.

Tip 2
I’m sure all of you readers find time to play games on your phone in breaks. Instead of playing games download ebooks into your phone. This reduces the weight of hardcopy books in your bag and provides a reading light for those dark times. I know not everyone is an ebook person and can’t break that attachment with amazingly smelling book paper. If that is the case, buy the hardcopy book and download the ebook if you’re not afraid to spend a bit more money or tumble through the Internet for free copies. Let’s just hope that someone makes scratch and sniff book cards for the smell and touch side of this.

Tip 3
Create a resistance towards the “reading a book in the car sickness.” You will find a whole lot of time goes wasted in there. On the other hand, if your driving, please, oh god, please don’t read a book while driving. Try an audiobook or something along those lines. If you are a parent, get your kid to read the book outloud to help with their fluency as well. I have never ever tried an audiobook but I’ll have to now.

So those are my lovely three tips of making time to read books. They are a bit drastic to all the other options, but I understand that not everyone can make their life that simple enough. I’m a bookoholic and I get super depressed if I don’t read a book for a while. Ely, I’m sure, would die without a book in walking distance and I’m standing right next to her.

And Remember: Books make time for you.

it's almost

time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

Review:

(No Spoilers)

I’m pretty sure I was born into this world for the soul purpose of reading this series. Now that I think about it, I’m probably Taherah Mafi’s... evil demon conscience plotting to take over the world, but with all that aside, LETTICE talk about this bible.

I cannot use words to decipher how much I love this series.
 A Lot.
 So Much
As Much as Ely
As Much as Food.
I’ve tried, and I cannot. I cannot. I cannot.

This book does not wait to get into action. Pacing is amazingly brilliant, as always. It completes me. After Ely.

Ely, if you’re reading this, get to this book, ASAP. I knew you would love the first book. You will LOVE EVERY SECOND.

There were parts where I said, “Wouldn’t it be amazing if this happened,” and I was so surprised when they did. It was like Taherah was living in my mind.

I am Team Warner, but Adam doesn’t bother me too much. I think I decided I was Team Warner officially straight after I finished the first book. I was afraid he was going to change in a way that made him extremely vulnerable, but Mafi satisfied me with what she did. Everything about Warner I just love. His persistence and the way he manipulates people by the words he says. It’s a gift.

After I read it, “I love every inch of him, his personality is the best, his words, his voice.

If your Team Warner, then this is your book.
Juliette seems to be better and less annoying in this one, even though it does take her ages to agree on some conclusions. She’s not completely good or evil, and I adore how she see’s that there is no fine line between them, even in her. Yes Juliette, the world does have a cruel way of thinking for you.

Kenji; Probably one of my favourite characters in this series. He is so hilarious and he breaks up the tension in scenes. He also sets Juliette straight in a scene I can’t mention but is quite inspirational. You learn a lot more about his back-story too, as well as his relationship with Castle. It’s so hilarious how the found each other. Kenji, What are you doing? Kenji, I love you.

A couple of our favourite characters have powers that are finally revealed, and as this is non spoiler and Ely is reading this, I can’t spoil who and what, but I can tell you it’s the most brilliant and thought out powers that puts the game in my favour ;)

Authors, please learn. This is all I ever wanted in a book.

I know I will never write enough for this review, but I would die for the next book and I can’t contemplate on this much further. I will explode and this book is a necessity to live.

Because Warner is beautiful in ways even Adam isn't,” Unravel Me.

“THE VAMPIRE ACADEMY MOVIE IS HORRIBLE”

That’s our cue VA fans. No one will question our fandom once we take revenge into our own hands once some stupid non-book reader comes to claim the hate on the thing that has consumed every thought in our mind. Yup. It’s time we refuse to accept that once the Vampire Academy becomes a movie that people will hate on the movie/books just because the title has “VAMPIRE,” in it.  So the next time someone says, “The Vampire Academy Movie is Horrible.” We’ll know what to do. Call the BLOOD HOUNDS. That aside! Have you heard the news of our baby?

If you haven’t heard by now, (and if you haven’t, please go to the doctor to check your hearing) there is MEGA FANTASTIC HUGE casting news for the Vampire Academy MOVIE! Yup, our three leading babes have been casted!

Click here for Penguin Publishers Australia Post. Click here for Richelle Meads Post. That should get you up to the CURRENT HYPE!

(Scroll down for the cast's AMAZING HEADSHOTS!)

First of all, lets get this straight: I have reread the Vampire Academy series more than any other book series EVER. It was the first whole series of books I have ever owned and it’s one of the only books I keep going back to. No other series have ever made me feel the feelings between two partners like this damn series has. So if you’re the same, comment down below so we can cry together!

There are a lot of mixed feelings about the cast (and absolutely about the title! Blood Sisters!) Some are pleased, and some are miserable (Which one are you? Leave a comment), which is what to expect when turning a best selling book into a movie.

And honestly, my preferred lead cast was:
Rose: Odette Yustmen/Annabelle (Picture left) 2nd: Lyndsy Fonseca 3rd: Agnes Bruckner ( Blood and Chocolate GURL! Though she needs darker hair)
(The Rose on the front cover of the first book will always be the Rose Hathaway for me, but Odette comes close as an actress! She is beautiful and just reminds me of her completely. It is someone Dimitri would fall in love with…because I somehow know his taste ;). )
Dimitri: Ben Barnes 2nd Matt Bomer
(I know Dimitri is described as a long hair fella, but whenever he enters my head, and that’s quite frequently, he has short hair. That aside, It took me a while to accept him as an excellent Dimitri. But I finally did…though I’m still unsure)
Lissa: Amber Heard
(I just looked her up now, and I think she’s suitable for Liss. I never really thought about who would be perfect to play her, maybe because I haven’t found that person yet!

The Current Cast that they chose is still fantastic, especially Rose Hathaway’s look. The only one I’m not happy about is Dimka, but he still might surprise us!

Here ‘s my rating.
Zoey Deutch as Rose: 8/10 (Well! They've made me happy)

Lucy Fry as Lissa: 7/10 (Find the Blonde Photo's and THAT'S HER!)

Danila as Dimka: 5/10 (Not my Dimitri, but he is hot!)

Leave a comment down below on your preferred cast and your rating on the current actors? But seriously, how excellent are these photos of them!?
