The Make Me Read It Read-A-Thon: RESULTS
#MakeMeRead has officially started in my timezone (well, it started an hour and half ago but I was asleep) and so I thought it was time I shared the results of my poll. So are you ready?
There you go! My first read will be Days of Blood and Starlight which was popular from the very beginning, then Siege and Storm, followed by Blue Lily, Lily Blue (!!) and The Murder Complex. If I manage to get through all of those, then I'll pick up The Retribution of Mara Dyer, Sweet Evil and then, possibly, The Demon King.
I honestly don't know how many books I'll get through this week, but I would like to take a serious chunk out of these. On that note, I'm off to start Days of Blood and Starlight!

The Make Me Read It Read-A-Thon: VOTING
Today’s post is all about my sort of TBR for the Make Me Read It Read-a-Thon. If you haven’t heard, this read-a-thon is being co-hosted by Val of The Innocent Smiley and I. We announced it a week ago, both here and on Val’s blog.
The premise is, you pick a couple of books you really want to read and post a list somewhere then people vote on which of those books you HAVE to read. You try and get through as many on your list during the week, starting with the book that received the most amount of votes. (If you have any ties, then you can pick which you read first). Remember to pick out a few more books that what you think you’ll get through.
Without further ado, let me show you the books I’ve picked out. If you want to learn more about any of these, I've created a Goodreads shelf for them all.

Announcing 'The Make Me Read It Read-a-thon'
I tweeted the other day about how I wanted to host a read-a-thon and now...well, welcome to my announcement for a new read-a-thon of mine. So without further ado, let me reveal the dates/rules for THE MAKE ME READ IT READ-A-THON!
Firstly, I'm lucky enough to be hosting this read-a-thon with my absolutely amazing/lovely friend Val of The Innocent Smiley. There's the possibility of another read-a-thon (focusing on WWII) later in the year, but we don't know if anyone would be interested? (Please tell us you'd be interested)
It's a week long read-a-thon to make sure you can all get through as many books as possible! The week it's running from Monday the 20th of July at 8:00am to Monday the 27th of July at 11:59pm. Like most read-a-thons, this revolves around your timezone. We'll be using the hashtag, #MakeMeRead on all social media. Remember to follow both Val and I on Twitter for updates!
What's this read-a-thon about? Welllll, if you're a blogger, booktuber, booklr, bookstagram-er or whatever else, I'm sure you've been told that you HAVE to read 'that' book. That's the premise of this read-a-thon...
Need more details? Here you go.
Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you’ve borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I’d pick a few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven, pick out ten.
Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you. Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you HAVE to read out of that list.
When the read-a-thon comes along, you read the books in the order of most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then the one that got 7 and so on. The goal is to read as many as possible.
I hope some of you are able to join in. I think it'll be a lot of fun, and Val and I will organise some exciting things for everyone to do during the week. I'll be posting my selections/TBR in about week. Don't forget to sign up in the linky below! And remember to check out Val's post too!

Bout of Books 13 TBR
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 13 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team.
Yes, I've decided to participate in Bout of Books yet again! I've done about five or six of these in the past and I've always enjoyed them so I couldn't pass this one up. Here's a little tentative TBR...
1. Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan
2. Boundless by Cynthia Hand
3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
4. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
5. All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
This is likely to change, depending on what I read between now and when the read-a-thon starts on Monday. Are you participating?

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon TBR
I know this is cutting this a little fine on the account that the read-a-thon starts in less than three and a half hours, but yes — I am participating in Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon tonight and this is my TBR!
Firstly, I'd like to read Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. No, I haven't read it before. I'm pretty sure I can actually speed through this one so it's going to be the first one I start with.
Secondly, I'd like to continue/finish The Mirror Crack'd Side to Side by Agatha Christie. I'm already 77 pages into this so hopefully I can knock it over in an hour or two.
Thirdly, I want to read more of Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. I've been on page 250 of this since it came out in September last year and I'd actually like to finish it before this September. I'd honestly be happy to just read another 100 pages of this.
Finally, the same thing with The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I've been slowly making my way through this and I'd like to just get another 100 pages read.
I don't have any plans while the read-a-thon is on. I did all of my assignments today so that I didn't have to worry about any of those and I could just spend all day reading. Also, I won't be staying up all night since the read-a-thon starts at 11pm for me and I do really need some sleep!
Who else is participating?

Fantasy Favourites Read-A-Thon Days 1 & 2
This week I'm participating in the Fantasy Favourites Read-A-Thon hosted by Inge and Karolina of Bookshelf Reflections and Olivia of Olivia's Catastrophe. As you can guess by the title, it's a week read-a-thon focusing on fantasy books. I own a lot of unread fantasy books that I've really wanted to get through lately, so this was absolutely perfect timing for me.
Each day during the read-a-thon there will be a set of prompts. I won't be doing every one because I'm too lazy for that, but I thought I should do the first one at least! Today, we had to provide photographic proof of these things.

Your Bookshelf.
I know this looks like an absolute mess in this photo, but I think the weird lighting makes it look a lot worse than it actually is... or at least, I hope it does.
Your TBR pile.
See above photo. Seriously. That is the majority of my TBR pile.
Where you will be reading this week/ Your blogging space.
The majority of my reading will take place here, on my bed. I do actually have a desk sort of thing where I could blog but that's currently covered in stuff. Some other reading might occur at Uni, if I can be bothered to take one of these books with me.
Your favourite fantasy book.
Puts your hands up if you were too lazy to get and get your copy of Throne of Glass/Crown of Midnight from the other room.
A book in your bookshelf that includes: aliens, magic, dragons,
mythology or is steampunk.
I have heaps of books that fit all the other categories, but I thought it would be cool to share this one because it's the only one that is steampunk.
Your fantasy books sorted by colour.
Fantasy is probably my most owned genre. You saw my shelves. Nope.
Your reading material for this week.
Now for the exciting bit - the TBR! So I picked out these five. From the bottom, we've got The Poison Throne by Celine Kieran, Graceling by Kristin Cashore, Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder, The Assassin's Blade and Heir of Fire (finally) both by Sarah J. Maas.
DAY 1
I started off today with The Assassin's Blade and I read the first three novellas which is 224 pages in my edition. I decided to start with this because I've read the first 240 pages of Heir of Fire back when it came out in September and then haven't read it since, because I'm terrified of the feels and I thought this would be a nice way to ease back in.
DAY 2
I haven't got any classes today which means I can do as much reading as is humanly possible. I finished the last two novellas in The Assassin's Blade this morning, and I'm hoping to start Graceling now. I've got a few other things I need to do, so we'll see how that turns out.

Bookentine Read-a-thon Announcement
I've been posting reviews for the last two days and I've got another one (at least) to go up, but I thought I'd mix it up a little today with a video! I think the video is pretty self explanatory so I'll just leave you all to it!
If you have any question, feel free to ask. Otherwise, I hope some of you can join in!
