July Wrap-Up

A few months back I said that I wouldn't be doing monthly wrap-ups or TBRs anymore, and well...look where we are now. Basically, I decided to go back on my own decision because, ONE - I'm terrible at sticking to anything, and TWO - I really want to talk about some cool books...and other stuff. Now that's over, shall we start?

JULY READS
Okay, so I only read 7 books this month *insert complete disappointment in myself* I know for some people, this seems like a decent amount right? This was one of my slowest reading months for ages. Firstly, I did not enjoy CoHF so it took me ages to get through, then I loved Every Breath SO MUCH that it put me in the biggest reading slump and then just as I was getting out of my slump, I read Solitaire which put me right back into one. WHY BOOKS, WHY?

BOOKS I BOUGHT IN JULY
None. NOT A SINGLE ONE. (I'm very proud of myself.)

OTHER JULY THINGS
I really haven't done that much this month, but here are three things I loved. Firstly, Bones- my mum and I just started watching this from the start (I'd already seen the first season) and OH MY GOD, we love it, we've watched three whole seasons in the space of a week...we need lives. Secondly, I've gone back to Uni now for my second semester and one of my electives is Photography- we have to use film cameras so they've kind of become my latest obsession. Speaking of obsession, Faking It...JUST OMG DYING. This show is not my usual sort of thing, but it's just SO GOOD. I watched the entire first season in one night, that's how good it is.

AUGUST PLANS
I say 'plans' rather than 'TBR' because I'm still doing that thing where I just read whatever I feel like at the time, these are just a few I'd like to try!

So there it is! Hopefully, I'll read more than five books in August but those are the ones I want to get to first. I hope you all enjoyed this post, and let me know what you read/bought/watched/whatever in July and what you're hoping to read in August!

  1. I'm sorry you didn't like CoHF, Ely! I know a lot of people love it. I haven't read it yet though. I'm only up to CoFA, haha. Every Breath was SO GOOD! I loved Every Word even more, so I can't wait for you to read that. I need Every Move NOW! What did you think of Pivot Point? Also, I really want to read Coraline and Solitaire!

Bones is awesome! I really need to marathon all of them one day. :) Also, I hope you enjoy your photography elective.

I really need to read Champion! I started it months go, but couldn't get into it. :( I also need to read more Agatha Christie and I really want to read The Enemy also. :)

    1. I'm sort of putting Every Word off because I know it's going to be amazing and I won't be able to function without Every Move. I liked Pivot Point much more than I expected too! I think you'd like them both...

Yeah, I've been reading Champion for what feels like forever. And yes, ALL THE AGATHA...and zombies :/

      Thanks for commenting, Ebony <3

  2. Good job on not buying any new books this month! 7 books isn't too bad. It's hard when you're not enjoying a book, so I'm sorry to hear you didn't like CoHF :( Happy reading and I hope you have a great August!

  3. I'm always in awe of people who say what they're going to read in August. I can't plan that far ahead. Gosh, that's a lot of commitment. I like, pick books very randomly or according to what the library deems fit to give me. (I haven't even borrowed a library book for like 2 WEEKS. I'm proud of myself! CATCHING UP!) XD
