Wishlist Wednesday #2

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly blog hop hosted by Pen to Paper which allows us to share with you a book each that is on our wishlist, whether it's been on there for a while or just been added. If you'd like to learn more about this meme, check it out here.

This week, the book on Ely's wishlist is:

Firelight (Firelight #1) by Sophie  Jordan

A hidden truth.
Mortal enemies.
Doomed love.

Marked as special at an early age, Jacinda knows her every move is watched. But she longs for freedom to make her own choices. When she breaks the most sacred tenet among her kind, she nearly pays with her life. Until a beautiful stranger saves her. A stranger who was sent to hunt those like her. For Jacinda is a draki, a descendant of dragons whose greatest defense is her secret ability to shift into human form.
Forced to flee into the mortal world with her family, Jacinda struggles to adapt to her new surroundings. The only bright light is Will. Gorgeous, elusive Will who stirs her inner draki to life. Although she is irresistibly drawn to him, Jacinda knows Will's dark secret: He and his family are hunters. She should avoid him at all costs. But her inner draki is slowly slipping away—if it dies she will be left as a human forever. She'll do anything to prevent that. Even if it means getting closer to her most dangerous enemy.
Mythical powers and breathtaking romance ignite in this story of a girl who defies all expectations and whose love crosses an ancient divide.
I've wanted this book for ages- I've looked in every bookstore, every library, every second hand shop but I've never found a copy. Though while looking for this book, I did discover 'Fury' by Elizabeth Miles which has become one of my absolute favourite books ever.

This week, the book on Chami's list is:

The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Mara Dyer once believed she could run from her past.

She can’t.

She used to think her problems were all in her head.

They aren’t.

She couldn’t imagine that after everything she’s been through, the boy she loves would still be keeping secrets.

She’s wrong.

In this gripping sequel to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, the truth evolves and choices prove deadly. What will become of Mara Dyer next?

Can i have a Love/Hate relationship with this series already? You know, when you're so mad at a book that you just want the next one to get all you frustration and anger out? Yeah. Here's one. The Unbecoming and Mara Dyer was not what i expected it to be from the trailer and the sypnosis, but that Letter... (eye twitches) i need to know what's going on with that! I can't just stop a series half way. NEED TO KNOW BASIS HERE!

  4. Firelight...haven't read it yet. I want to read it someday because it's so popular, but the dragons...well...I guess I'll need some time to actually work up some interest for this series :) I'm really excited for the first Mara Dyer book, though - it's on my shelf already!
