Holy Shit.

Holy Shit!

It has been five minutes max from finishing “The Evolution Of Mara Dyer,” and it blew my mind in everyway possible. Not only are the characters realistic with the choice of dialogue for each character, it is hell creepy. Young Adult books usually don’t creep me out, but this is one exception. Truthfully, I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out. I expected way more from “The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer,” as the hype that was built with it was humungous and I wasn’t truly very happy with it, but the second one has skipped to all the conventions of a season finale of a tv show or a last book in a gigantic series. It was surprise after surprise and I just loved it. There were many parts that confused me and made me think, “Woah, what the hell is going on here.” But they were kind of explained so that is always good in the end isn’t it? Overall, I thought this was one of the best sequel books I have ever read to a series and I now realise that the publishers must’ve read the second book or something to pick this up (Wink wink). I cannot wait for the next book and see where the letter from the first book has connected with this whole series.

Spoiler: This book could be divided to two books, and I would clearly cut it off for when she went of to the inpatient retreat. Truly, I had thought the part where Jude had kidnapped Mara was the climax of the whole book, and I was so wrong! That ending! It blew my mind! It was intense and it broke my heart.

What really annoyed me were all the employees of the mental hospital and Mara’s mum. Seriously? You wouldn’t seriously do that to your daughter! What is wrong with you.

Just to clear it up.

I definitely don’t think that Noah is dead. So I’m not worried about him.

Review:

May we take a moment, for this book series, to rest in peace? It has served us a good 3 years and has revived my friend from the “I hate books section,” to, “I still hate books but I love Hush hush.” It truly should be known as one of my true loves, right after Ely.

Before this book came out, everyone went crazy when the discovered that there was a fourth book in the trilogy. Seriously, the trilogy had a fourth book? Who does that? We all assumed that she was doing it for the money like some other series we know. Not naming names but *cough* House of Night *cough*. And though the third book did its deed in finishing the story, I felt like the fourth book wrapped it up tightly. I’m glad for the fourth book, because that book made me realise how much I would miss this series.

I spent countless days depressing and dying inside when I hit the finale (Hehe, self is so funny.) I went back and reread all the books as well as rereading the last book again, and then went back again to reread my favourite scenes.

I want to write a book like that. It makes me want to feel everything I want to feel in a series. I want the main character to be stabbed, I want the boy to worry and fuss over her and I want the characters to take part in a journey that tears them apart to seal them back together. I want to develop a relationship the way Becca Fitzpatrick does. It is raw.

So I better get on with the review right? Yeah, probably the smartest idea.

Patch, Patch, Patch. Dream boy I truly did miss you in Silence when Nora only remembered you as “Jev.” It’s good to see you back in this book still supporting Nora even though she was basically your greatest enemy. You did everything to protect her and you didn’t even go all Edward Cullen.

Nora, you responded the way I wanted you to. I wanted you to say no to the antidote, but then I kinda wanted you to get it on with Dante to make patch Jelous, but he didn’t deserve it. You were such a great heroine in this book and you didn’t always depend on the man, that is what will make you memorable.

I guessed that Dante would be the villain at the start. Fitz has that cliché of changing all the new friends to enemies and I doubted that she would bring a new love interest in the last and final book.  But that didn’t stop me from loving him. Then when he turned darker I began to hate him, he deserved it.

Though there were ways I wanted things to go, but I’m not the author.

Fitzy, you capture teen ways in the right light. Seriously. Everything I read in the book about people could so be relatable for now. Vee and her ways is kinda like me, oh god how can I go on? Ely, save me.

When I was reading the chapter where Nora confessed about taking Devilcraft and Patch stated that he wasn’t mad at her, the only song I could see for them was, “Kiss Me,” by Ed Sherren (Yup, Damon and Elena’s song as well!)

I am going to cry, die, love and die all over again. Finale, i loved you in many ways possible. I will love the characters and i will never let this series go. It's sad we have to end like this. I love your Finale, and love means alot expecially when you read the last line in this book where i just chuckled.

The only crap thing was the title. Come on. Could have given something better. My friend and I actually joked that the book was going to be named “Noisey.” I actually wanted Nora to become sick with that Devilcraft. It would have been interesting witch Patch's reaction.

Oh god i love him

No love Triangles. Epic.

If the series didn’t have this book, I don’t think I would have appreciated it as much as I do now.

This Review is a mess, but my feelings for this series is a mess.
