End of the Year 2013 #ReadingCram Read-a-thon Day 2 + Teaser Challenge

Today was a very good day for me- I managed to finish two of my books. I'm going to be starting on Percy Jackson next, which is where my teasers are coming from.

Challenge: Open the book you are currently reading to a random page and post two teaser sentences.

The first day of the read-a-thon has gone reasonably well. I made my goal of reading one hundred pages per day and I'm nearing the end of my book, so hopefully I'll be able to finish it tomorrow.
